Sassy Begum is a take on Hyderabad in the heart of New Delhi. It is the brainchild of Sahil Hassan and Aashica Khanna, who follow the motto: “There is no sincere love than the love for food”. Belonging to a Hyderabadi family and having grown up eating old-school hyderabadi food made by his mother, Doreen Hassan who is a notable cook and the author of a memoir of heirloom Hyderabadi recipes: Saffron and Pearls, Sahil has learnt the mechanics of the cuisine. Aashica on the other hand comes from a strong hospitality background and is a graduate of Cornell School of Hotel Administration. Both their talents combined have resulted in a dining experience that is true to its roots and refined in style.
